Dover & Deal Liberal Democrat Executive

tn_sheilasmithSheila Smith is one of our most active members, standing on the Parish Council in Eastry, and contributing to many Organisations, she has great knowledge on the Youth projects around the district.

She has been member of the Dover & Deal Liberal Democrats Executive Commitee for several years and this year has taken on the role of President, taking over from Cynthia Terry who held the post from 2003.

Peter Lodge Like Clive Meredith, Peter is also a Councillor for the ward of Whitfield. At the DDC, he sits on the Scrutiny (Community & Regeneration) Committee and also on Licensing.

Peter has been a District Councillor continuously since 2003 and this year also takes on the mantle of Vice Chair.

Peter is a navigational officer in the Merchant Navy and works on ferries out of Dover and has lived in the District continuously for 25 years.

John Mackie
John has been with the LibDems for many a year now, and has in the last few years become the agent for Dover and Deal Liberal Democrats.

This Year john has also taken on the role of Membership Secretary.

John has lived in Dover with his family for a number of years.

 

antonyAntony Hook was brought up in Deal and attended Dover Grammar School For Boys prior to going to university and studying Law.

He has now finished his studies and is working as a Barrister, whilst still maintaining his work in the Dover District for Dover & Deal Lib Dems.

tn_lindahook1Linda Hook has been a rock in the organisation of the Dover and Deal Liberal Democrats for a number of years and now makes a very welcome return to the position of Secretary after a couple of years away from the role.


Living in Deal with her Husband Robin , Linda has two sons, Antony and Nathan. She works as a secretary in a local surgery.

Dean Styles Dean, a freelance journalist, became our Press Officer in 2006.

He also ran as our candidate for KCC in 2007.
