Liberal Democrats call for the ruling Labour group on Deal town council to resign after a damning auditors report.

The scathing report found serious misbehaviour by Labour group members who used taxpayer money to employ relatives, "What's happened at the Town Council is comparable to Kent County Council's loss of millions of pounds by ignoring advice about Icelandic banks," local campaigner Antony Hook said. Deal Liberal Democrats call on every member of the ruling Labour group to consider their position in the face of this scandalous behaviour, Antony Hook said. "Labour have run Deal Town Council for a long time. It's time for change to restore public trust in the town hall," he said. "Every member of the Labour Group needs to consider their responsibility in this disaster. The public should be given the chance to elect a new council now." Antony Hook said.
